Men's Singles
Bao(CHN) 2-0 Nguyen(VIE)
Nguyen fought patiently against Bao who was keeping very good condition this YOJ, but Bao overwhelmed Nguyen through the match using his superior reach.
Men's Doubles
Men doubles match among number 1 seeded Kido/Setiawan and Chandra/Gunawan, all Indonesian, was won by Kido/iawan. As they have never won the champion in Yonex Open Japan, they are highly motivated for the final tomorrow, Kido quoted. The final will present all Indonesian match, as the other semifinal between Indonesian Dasuki/Sukmawan and Gunawan/Bach from USA was won by the Indonesian pair in a very tight three-set match.
Women's Singles
Wang Xin beat Wang Lin rather easily because Lin Seemed to lack her fight against opponent of same country.
Wang Yi Han beat Hirose properly 2-1.
Though Wang lost 1st game by Hirose placement of high quality, she easily got 2nd and final game.
Women's Doubles
Women doubles match between Chinese Ma/Wang and Indonesian Maheswari/Polii was ended with retirement of Indonesian pair at the final set, due to Polli’s injury on her right knee.
Suetsuna & Maeda beat Ha Kim(KOR) after very tough and agonizing game, and became the 2nd Japanese finalist Mori & Jinnai 1990.
They lost close 1st game 19-21, but got tight 2nd game 21-18.

In final game, Korean pair started well leading 2-0 but after that, Suetsuna & Maeda became much better in their performance, being cheered up by so many Japanese audience.
Mixed Doubles
Two mixed double semifinals presented two Indonesian pairs. Beijing Olympic semifinalist Widianto/Natsir against Denmark's Fischer/Pedersen ended with Denmark pair got their ticket to the final. Fischer commented that Pedersen is the best partner he can play with, and they are really motivated to win the championship. Their final game will be against Thailand's pair Anugritaywon/Voravichitchaikul, who defeated the other Indonesian pair Gunawan/Marissa.
