Men's Singles
Bao(CHN) won against Hidayat(INA) for the first time.
He kept leading through the match including 5 successive point to 17 points in 1st game.
Hidayat was a litle out of his usual play of various technique and made a lot of mis-shots.
Bao said he played slow rob, high clear, drop shot and net play, than hard hitting.
Bao intended play rather slowly using rob, high clear, drop shot and net play so as to make Hidayat run to his exhaustion.
Hidayat told; Bao deserved to win, and played better this time.
There is no special stragedy for himself today because they have known each other well.
He wants to prove to Indonesian people that he can still be very strong player, that is his motivation.
Women's Singles
Wang Yi Han(CHN) won her 2nd time winner succeeding beat year.
She overwhelmed Wang Xin(CHN) with her precious and swift placement.
She said she well know opponent's technique and tactics of course because of belonging same team and could give bull play to the result of win.
She feels she is really progressing in Badminton while she wishes to promote her human nature more.
Men's Doubles
Kido & Setiawan(INA) beat Dasuki and Sukmawan of fellow country pair, to their first time winner in YOJ, 2-0.
Both well know each play style and match proceeded rather uneventfully.
Kido & Setiawan told, they are now in 90' of condition after coming back from injury.
They are relieved coming back to win the extended game from score of 17-20.
Daskis & Sukmawan told, they are this appointed of defeat since they took a lead in 2nd game.
They felt too much pressure from opponents.
Women's Doubles
Wang & Ma (CHN) won the close match over Suetsuna & Maeda (JPN) 21-19,21-18, Japanese pairs fought evenly to Chinese pairs and kept their game plan to rally patiently but Chinese smash and swift foot work backed up by thier anticipation were superior only a litte. Chinese pairs told;
They really agonized the very tough match including opponets super shot. Indeed Japanese pairs are at top level of the world.
Suetsuna & Maeda told;
Though the loss was very regret to them, they are very glad and proud to be the honor platform. They should make futher development at the critical point.
Mixed Doubles
The last match of YOJ 2009.
There were so many audience remained in the stands, that looks to show the high quality of Japanese Badminton Fan.
Anukritayawon & Voravichtaikul(THA) beat Denmark's pair winning the world championship 2-1. Denmark pair got 1st game rather easily while Thailand pair got back 2nd game 21-16 keeping effective attitude in drive rally after close early half to 10-10.
Final game was a very close one. After 16-15, Denmark pair getting points successirely till 18-15, but Thailand pair fought paitiently through their good receive and counterattack, then finally got the extended game 22-20 to thier first win in YOJ.
Thailand pair told;
They are very happy for thier first win at the tournament out of Thailand. They still are exciting from their victory.
